microwaveodyssey
fearofmicrowave.fleeting, irrational phobia. we are over this, people!
open the microwave door:::put anything in it:::nuke and be done.
some people.
:::we learn 2 use our ancient microwave again:::for real food::: good food:::we learn 2 lovethebeep; if this appliance works after 10-12yrs::: use it or replace it with another one:::we reinvent old favs and old failures. the real gas oven isboring, dark and scary; ok, maybe we'll use the trad oven when pigs fly.
truetoform, she finds a gadget 2 spend the $$$ we 'saved'::: after all, it isn't her money:::here's the deal:
wowbacon: 'makes fresh-broiled, crispy bacon in the microwave without the mess ! ... Saves trees because there is no need for wads of paper towels ...
through squinty eyes we absorb these ideas. :::altho she is efficient in her own milieu; we wonder about petit's agenda.

ignore the stovette/ovenesque appliances.
use microwave oven 2 boil water; fry stuff in electric pan.
Generally, cooking food takes one-fourth the time in the microwave than in conventional oven.
Cooking heat is created within the food; kitchen does not become overheated.
Natural flavors are retained in the food.
Reduced cooking time means more vitamins and minerals are retained.
::: we cook only the amount of food needed. microwave uses less electrical wattage than conventional oven, and takes shorter amount of time.
::: we cook right in our celadon pottery, on paper plates and in paper towels. Less to clean up.
